Global Paddler® and Escapology are the creations of kayak instructor, tour guide, writer, and photographer Scott Rawstorne. Scott was the primary author of the popular Paddling around New South Wales guidebook, and is now working on guides for Queensland and is also undertaking four kayaking trips that will take him around the world.
The NSW Government's Land & Property Management Authority has established 4 canoe/kayak trails across the state and have a number of different resources available on their site, including detailed information for each of these paddling routes.
Australian Outdoor Education Training and Recognition is the outdoor recreation training and assessment division of TAFE NSW Western Institute, a Registered Training Organisation (RTO). TAFE Western Institute is the current and previous "NSW Large Training Provider of the Year" (1999, 2006 and 2007) and was awarded "Australian large training provider of the year" in 2007. TAFE NSW Western Institute - Lithgow College is the largest training provider of nationally accredited Outdoor Recreation Training and Assessment in Australia, enrolling over 500 students annually. The canoe component of their certificate III & IV in Outdoor Recreation is the first course in Australia to be taught in Wenonah Canoes from Paddle & Portage. It is instructed by Paddle & Portage owner, Travis Frenay.
